Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager/Business Analyst with a strong background in financial services to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and oversee projects from conception to implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals. Act as a champion for change, inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams towards success.
  • Extreme Ownership: Take complete ownership of project outcomes, driving accountability and ensuring solutions are delivered on time and within budget. Embrace challenges and proactively seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Enablement and Support: Provide guidance, support, and resources to project teams, enabling them to perform at their best. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment conducive to innovation and growth.
  • Business Analysis: Conduct thorough business analysis, gathering requirements, defining project scope, and identifying key success metrics. Translate business needs into actionable plans and strategies.
  • Adaptability and Utility: Wear multiple hats and demonstrate versatility in handling various project aspects. Serve as a utility player within the Project Management Office (PMO), adept at navigating through different stages of project lifecycles.
  • Margin Optimization: Leverage expertise in margin teams and banking operations to optimize margins and drive profitability. Implement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Cultural Fit and Leadership: Understand the nuances of broker-dealer and trading cultures, adapting leadership style and approach accordingly. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Process Improvement and Governance: Drive transformative work beyond technology-focused solutions. Implement process improvements, establish robust governance frameworks, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Possess strong interpersonal skills, capable of reading the room and effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders. Navigate through ambiguity and drive consensus towards project objectives.
  • Solution-Oriented Approach: Demonstrate a solution-oriented mindset, focusing on delivering tangible business value and addressing challenges with creativity and resilience. Write comprehensive business cases to support project initiatives and secure buy-in from key stakeholders.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA or PMP certification preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management within the financial services industry, with a focus on banking and brokerage operations.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects, driving transformative initiatives, and optimizing operational margins.
  • Strong business analysis skills, with the ability to gather requirements, conduct gap analysis, and develop actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and versatility, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in writing business cases, conducting feasibility studies, and presenting recommendations to executive stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of broker-dealer culture, trading operations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and drive consensus towards project objectives.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a focus on Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
