Production Supervisor

Fristam Pumps USA, a leading manufacturer of pumps and mixers for the food, dairy, and pharmaceutical industries, is looking for a self-motivated and results-driven Production Supervisor to join our team in Middleton, Wisconsin. This role is ideal for an experienced manufacturing professional who excels in leadership, team development, and production optimization. As a key player in our operations, the Production Supervisor will oversee and guide the daily activities of production associates, ensuring resource efficiency, quality standards, and the achievement of production goals.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead, plan, organize, and direct the daily activities of production associates across assigned shifts.
• Ensure that company policies and procedures are understood, adhered to, and applied consistently and fairly across all team members.
• Manage workload distribution, conduct annual performance reviews, and address associate performance issues as needed.
• Train, develop, and support the cross-training of associates to foster a team-oriented, high-performance environment.
• Ensure production workflow is optimized to meet daily targets, adjusting priorities with minimal disruption.
• Manage department expenditures, including supplies, materials, and staffing, to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for polishing and welding, developing new processes as needed.
• Set departmental goals and performance metrics, communicating progress and improvements regularly.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives, including participation in the Business Management System, 5S activities, workplace scans, and cycle counting.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment that adheres to industry safety standards.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications/Experience):

• Education: Minimum of an Associate’s degree in management, business, or a related technical field. In lieu of a degree, relevant experience combined with post-secondary education and/or technical training will be considered.
• Experience: At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of leading diverse teams.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Spanish is highly preferred (both written and verbal).
• Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Process Improvement: Demonstrated experience with process optimization, budgeting, and consistently meeting or exceeding production targets.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to various audiences.
• Organizational Skills: Strong planning, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, Day Shift (with extended hours, nights, and weekends as needed)
