Position Summary:


We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Compliance to lead our global compliance initiatives and ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements. This senior leadership role will oversee the company’s compliance programs, policies, and practices, working closely with executive leadership to manage risk and maintain the highest standards of integrity and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics compliance, regulatory oversight, and team leadership.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance strategy, ensuring alignment with global regulations in customs, trade compliance, and data security.
  • Oversee all compliance activities, including C-TPAT, ACE Portal management, and other customs and trade programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate compliance practices across operations, sales, and customer service.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory bodies, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and other government agencies, ensuring timely response and resolution to any compliance issues.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and internal reviews, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Provide compliance training to staff across departments to maintain regulatory awareness and standards.
  • Monitor changes in trade compliance laws and regulations, advising executive leadership on potential impacts to the business.
  • Prepare regular reports on compliance metrics, risks, and program effectiveness for the executive team.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in logistics or customs compliance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge of global customs and trade regulations, C-TPAT, ACE Portal, and other relevant compliance platforms.
  • Proven ability to manage risk and lead complex compliance programs.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build a compliance-oriented culture.
