Senior Project Manager - Indianapolis - Heavy Civil Construction
Metric Geo is confidentially partnered with a household heavy civil contractor to hire an experienced Senior Project Manager to join its team in Indiana.
This search is focused on senior-level professionals with a strong background in earthwork, underground utilities, and paving, particularly across INDOT highway and roadway projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of multiple heavy civil projects from preconstruction through completion.
- Manage project teams, budgets, schedules, forecasting, and overall profitability.
- Lead coordination between Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients.
- Drive project performance, productivity, and cost control across all phases of construction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, engineers, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure projects meet safety standards, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.
Ideal Background
- Extensive Project Management experience within heavy civil construction.
- Strong technical knowledge of earthwork, underground utilities, and paving.
- Proven experience delivering INDOT or DOT highway and roadway projects.
- Track record of managing complex projects, leading teams, and driving financial performance.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects.
