Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Product Manager to support our Senior Product Managers in the comprehensive management of the product life cycle. This role is integral to the success of our product development process and presents a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative product solutions in a collaborative, dynamic work environment. As an Assistant Product Manager, you will gain exposure to various aspects of product management and be positioned for future growth within the Product and Merchandising teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing product specifications through competitive sample analysis, image editing, and crafting engaging product descriptions.
- Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to create impactful sales presentations, ensuring the availability of assets, mock-up samples, prototypes, and presentation materials.
- Maintain consistent communication with overseas offices to address product development, sourcing, costing, and project status updates.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date item, costing, and margin information to Senior Product Managers for assigned product lines.
- Manage art requests for new products, packaging revisions, and production, ensuring all projects are thoroughly tracked and documented.
- Review and provide feedback on production approval samples, and ensure timely delivery of customer-required samples to the sales team.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Design, and Sales to ensure the seamless execution of assigned programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to effectively utilize these tools in a product management capacity.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
- 1-3 years of experience in product management within a consumer packaged goods (CPG) or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- A background in sourcing, costing, product development, or supply chain is highly advantageous.
- Experience working with overseas suppliers is a plus.
- High energy, strong work ethic, and a self-motivated approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
