Production Planner

TRC’s client is an established auto parts manufacturer looking for a Planner to join their team in Portland, ME on a full-time, direct hire basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review customer demand daily through the PRP module in the ERP system in order to create, updated, and close jobs according to customer demand.
- Maintain inventory levels of stocking programs for approved customers.
- Monitor inventory discrepancies and productivity issues and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide daily updates to Production and Customer Service regarding any delays or issues that may affect a ship date.
- Create and maintain production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Assist in managing the inventory in WIP markets to ensure a high level of inventory accuracy.
- Create customer recovery plans as needed in a data-based format and ensure execution.
- Analyze job variances to determine root cause and work with the appropriate department(s) to correct.
- Assist the inventory team with cycle counts, physical inventory, etc., to achieve the company goal.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years in a planning role in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, and planning practices in a manufacturing environment.
