The company's proprietary Phospholipid Drug Conjugate™ (PDC) delivery platform targets cancer cells specifically and delivers improved efficacy and better safety due to fewer off-target effects. Cellectar's PDC platform has the potential to develop the next generation of cancer-targeting treatments. The product pipeline includes CLR 131, a small-molecule PDC designed to provide targeted delivery of iodine-131 (radioisotope) as well as propriety preclinical PDC chemotherapeutic programs with multiple partnered PDC assets. Cellectar Biosciences is conducting a global, pivotal Phase 2 Part B (CLOVER-WaM) expansion study in Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia (WM) patients, with the objective to evaluate the efficacy and safety of CLR 131 for marketing approval.

Role Description

This is a full-time New Jersey HQ role for the Head of Scientific Communication and Medical Operation. The Head of Scientific Communication and Medical Operation will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's scientific communication strategy for branded and off-label use and engaging with key medical influencers and health care professionals. The Head of Scientific Communication and Medical Operation will also oversee the publication plan, medical affairs operations, congress planning, medical information programs, medical review committee, and grants oversight while serving as the company's scientific content expert and medical knowledge resource.


Qualifications

  • A doctorate degree in a scientific discipline, PharmD, PhD, or MD with significant industry experience is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in scientific communication/medical operation within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Strong background in an area related to Hematology and Rare Disease
  • Comprehensive knowledge of scientific communication strategy and the pharmaceutical industry regulations and guidelines for investigational and marketed products in the US.
  • Therapeutic Medical Affairs experience in Hematology, preferred.
  • Radio conjugate therapy experience, preferred.
  • Demonstrate ability to think strategically and implement strategies across portfolio.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience in business planning, including development of budgets and adherence to performance targets.
  • Strong project management skills, critical thinking, and compliant medical messaging.
