Our team's expertise helps our clients meet their sustainability, energy, engineering, and facility operations objectives. We serve an active role in commissioning building systems, frequently engaging contractors on-site to ensure that delivered systems operate on day one of building occupancy.


We are experiencing growth and are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join our team


This position requires a minimum of 60% (depending on project requirements) field investigation to perform site visits, inspections, and functional testing of commissioned systems.


What You'll Do

As a Commissioning Engineer you'll get to:

  • Work in conjunction with the Senior Mechanical Engineer to establish systems designed to ensure that all MEP+ project work submitted to the client is technically accurate.
  • Provide technical engineering information and assistance to company management to ensure compliance with the project requirements, engineering standards, applicable codes, and specifications.
  • Maintain an awareness of the status of the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with city, state, and county officials, and other outside agencies.
  • Serve as a commissioning technical expert to the team and provide technical expertise to projects as required. Provide commissioning leadership for projects and provide support to junior staff as well as field oversight of construction and MEP+ commissioning activities
  • Perform MEP+ design reviews of project documents for conformance to design requirements and LEED, Georgia Peach, and other sustainability programs.
  • Review engineering drawings and specifications for engineering accuracy and performance.
  • Provide recommendations and feedback regarding improving the design, optimizing system performance, proper equipment selection, testing requirements, and operations and maintenance.
  • Perform the technical analysis necessary to interpret system data and identify system issues, and provide recommendations for corrective action


Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in consulting or A/E Design
  • 2 years of Commissioning experience is preferred, or the willingness to learn and implement the Commissioning process.
  • Must be able to climb ladders/stairs
  • Must be able to carry objects
