Branch Manager - Freight Forwarding


Position Overview:


We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Branch Manager to lead our operations in Manhattan. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in freight forwarding and possess strong leadership skills to drive success in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and oversee all aspects of branch operations, including sales, customer service, and logistics, to ensure efficiency and profitability.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives and targets, while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Manage and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to foster a high-performing culture.
  • Monitor market trends, competition, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies, including safety, security, and quality standards.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to track performance and make informed business decisions.
  • Collaborate with corporate headquarters and other branches to share best practices, leverage resources, and optimize processes.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving business growth, and managing operational excellence.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of freight forwarding processes, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and logistics software.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
