- Take complete ownership of the software product, including both the technical and functional roadmap.
- Advocate a customer-centric approach, effectively representing the voice of the customer to guide technology and resource investments.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and intake for the product development team.
- Collaborate with key development and business stakeholders to prioritize the product backlog.
- Lead product grooming and sprint planning sessions in collaboration with the engineering team.
- Manage capacity and resource planning to optimize product development and delivery.
- Clearly articulate product scope, ROI, and benefits to stakeholders and business teams.
- Work closely with stakeholders and engineering teams to plan and execute successful product releases.
- Align multiple domains (both technical and non-technical) to a common vision, providing clear communication of product details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Actively engage in the team's support channels, assisting and addressing stakeholder questions.
- Leverage understanding of technology trends to determine how platform and architecture decisions impact product roadmaps and user experience.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of all products and technology managed by the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related discipline). An advanced degree is advantageous but not required.
- Previous experience of 8+ years in a product management role or similar capacity within the technology industry.
- Proven expertise in product management, demonstrating end-to-end ownership of complex products.
- Strong understanding of SDLC practices and web-based application development technologies.
- Good understanding of Web/API development using Java or NodeJS.
- Exceptional customer focus with a track record of successfully incorporating customer feedback into product strategies.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and addressing challenges creatively.
- Understanding of technology trends and best practices within the industry.
- Proficiency in project and product management tools and methodologies.
Prior development experience is an added advantage
