Scientific Journalist

We are looking for a talented Scientific Journalist to join our team. As a Scientific Journalist, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing various types of content for our quantum computing team. You will be working closely with our technical teams to create engaging blogs, narratives, technical content, and messaging that effectively communicate our products and services to our target audience.

Responsibilities

• Writing clear narratives, messaging, and copy to promote our products/services
• Collecting feedback, proofreading and editing content before publication
• Submitting work to executives for input and approval
• Researching industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews, and studies)
• Coordinating with design teams to illustrate articles
• Conducting keyword research and using SEO guidelines to optimize content
• Identifying customers’ needs and recommending new content to address gaps in the company’s current content
• Studying competitive narratives to out-message and out-perform competitive strategies.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Scientific Journalist, Content Writer, Copywriter, or similar role
• Preferred experience with cloud technology, quantum technology, physics, and/or chemistry
• Portfolio of published articles
• Experience doing research using multiple sources
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent writing and editing skills, including particular attention to detail concerning grammar and sentence structure. We are looking for top notch penmanship
• Ability to meet deadlines and effectively communicate progress on various projects
