Hours per Week: 40
Shift and Time: Evenings, 3:00pm – 11:30pm
Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
On-call Requirements: None
Floating Requirements: None
Weekend Rotation: Required
Holidays Requirements: Not required; holiday pay hours are adjusted in subsequent pay periods if a holiday falls on a scheduled workday.
Experience Requirements: Minimum 1 year of hospital experience
Experience Preferred: 2 years, level 1 hospital experience
License/Certification Requirements: CRCST/CSPDT or CBSPD and BLS
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Tech (SPOT) to join our team at Olathe, KS. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic Operating Room (OR) environment during the evening shift. The assignment is for 14 weeks with the potential for extension based on performance and operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies according to established protocols and standards.
- Assemble and package sterile instruments and supplies for use in surgical procedures.
- Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.
- Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a hospital setting is required.
- Preferred 2 years of experience in a level 1 hospital.
- Current CRCST/CSPDT or CBSPD certification and BLS certification required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
