A leading Texas-based MEP Consultancy has an exciting opportunity available for a seasoned MEP professional to join their leadership team at the Director level. With offices across Texas and the Middle East, you will enjoy working for a world-class Consultancy on a range of high-profile and technically challenging schemes. The projects include, but are not limited to, Commercial/Office, Laboratory, Hospitality, Education and Healthcare design.
The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical bias, however bring 15 – 20 years of general MEP Engineering experience including a good understanding of Electrical and Public Health.
As well as having excellent technical ability, the Director must be able to develop business and meet with clients to grow the company within the Houston market. You must be able to hire, manage and mentor staff as required to meet the requirements of the projects and the office/business. Duties also include collaborating with contractors, architects, MEP engineers and also mentor designers and junior engineers.
Job Responsibilities:
-Develop business in the Houston area and work with our other USA offices
-Develop staff and assist in growing the business
-Be able to design MEP systems and develop MEP concepts into final designs that support the client’s mission and goals
Required:
-Texas PE license
-LEED accreditation or some other energy certification
-Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
-Knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT
-Decisive with excellent critical thinking skills
-Good written and verbal communication abilities, including preparing and giving presentations. Must be a great communicator
