Structural Steel Estimator

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Structural Steel Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the estimation process for structural steel projects, ensuring accurate and timely bids to enhance our competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze detailed estimates for structural steel projects based on blueprints and specifications.
  • Utilize Tekla software for modeling and detailing purposes to enhance estimation accuracy.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bids.
  • Review project scope and identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Maintain a database of pricing information and assist in updating cost estimation guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in estimating structural steel projects.
  • Proficiency in Tekla software for structural modeling and detailing.
  • Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and erection processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
