Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of clean energy, environmental sustainability, and policy shaping for the greater good? The Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia (DCPSC) is thrilled to invite passionate individuals like you to join our dynamic team as interns in various areas of energy regulation.


At DCPSC, we are an independent, quasi-judicial agency dedicated to serving the public interest. We ensure that financially healthy utility companies deliver safe, reliable, and quality services at reasonable rates for District customers. But that's not all – we're also committed to driving grid modernization, conserving natural resources, preserving environmental quality, and advancing the District's climate policy commitments.


As an intern with us, you'll have the incredible opportunity to work on groundbreaking topics such as clean energy, supplier diversity, grid modernization, affordability, environmental economics, infrastructure, and community engagement. Your responsibilities could include attending community hearings, providing communications support for exciting events, reviewing environment and energy-related policies and procedures, contributing ideas to enhance DCPSC's web content and social media presence, offering recommendations to various Commission offices, and engaging with stakeholders from Washington Gas, Pepco, and other District government agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS: Internships are open to students currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate level program or recently graduated (in the past 12 months) from a university or college within the District of Columbia. District residents who are enrolled in schools outside of DC are also eligible to apply for the internship. Interns majoring in Law, Communications, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Environmental Studies, and/or Business Administration are preferred.
