SAP Plant Maintenance/EAM Project Manager Opportunity


6 month contract with extension

Office located in Houston, TX

Hybrid - 3 days on site in the Post Oak/Galleria area


What You Can Expect

The Project Manager will help with the implementation of SAP EAM.


  • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure business needs are correctly translated into functional requirements.
  • User Experience: On behalf of end users, ensure implementation of an intuitive and streamlined user experience. Establish benchmark for key maintenance related processes to demonstrate the efficiency of the User Interface.
  • Data and Master Data: Work with business stakeholders and with the project team to ensure data & master data is complete, accurate and properly loaded in the system. This including: FLoc, Equipment, Technical Documentation, Materials, BOMs, Maintenance Tasks, Scheduling.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and external consultants to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
  • Risk Management: with the project team identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery. Monitor and manage customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that the solution meets both business requirements and expectations through continuous review and validation with stakeholders.
  • Control: as a representative of the Client, work with the implementation team of external consultants to meet project timeline, budget constraints and ensure customer satisfaction with the end-product.
  • Change Management: Plan and lead organizational change associated with the SAP EAM implementation, including training, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Go Live: Ensure sign off on features, performance, data and training. Provide guidance to business users after Go Live including Q&A, troubleshooting, and advocate for the Client for any required system adjustment.
  • Preparation of Phase II intended for 2025: gather lessons learned, gaps and new functionalities to bring additional efficiencies and capabilities next year.



What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, MIS, Business or a related field.
  • 5+ years of functional experience in SAP EAM (PM).
  • Strong understanding of business processes related to asset management, maintenance, reliability and also procurement & inventory management.
  • Experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and working on behalf of the Customer.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Track record of successful project management.
  • SAP EAM / PM certification and experience with SAP implementation methodologies (e.g., ASAP, Activate) is a plus.
