This opportunity is for a growing small-business in the marketing space. We specialize in market research and insight development for some of the biggest brands as well as local companies. We are seeking someone who is eager to learn, not afraid of being creative, and has an eye for looking beyond data to find meaningful themes and threads.

Rarely will one day be like the next or one project be identical to another. Some weeks you’ll be on a cool branding project. Others you’ll be creating competitive marketing materials comparisons. Sometimes you’ll be doing tracking reports. Or attending focus groups. Our clients are business-to-consumer. Or business-to-business. When we say it varies, we aren’t kidding. We’re looking for someone who brings a creative eye to both quantitative and qualitative reporting. Bring your ideas along with your skills.

Level 7 Market Research is looking for a self-motivated employee to join our team. You get to do a little bit (or maybe a lot) of everything and be very involved with a wide variety of clients and projects.

Job responsibilities:

  • Oversee and conduct the design and execution of market research and insight programs, including understanding objectives, methodology selection and implementation, and reporting. You don’t need to know it all but a good working knowledge is necessary.
  • Qualitative recruiting, screening and scheduling and potentially conducting interviews as well.
  • Quantitative data analysis (no need for advanced statistics).
  • Survey programming on our online platform. There’s no hard coding or the like.
  • Translate data and statistics into relevant and clear insights through compelling reports and presentations.
  • Manage vendor relationships, to include selection, contracting, serving as primary contact, participating in research activities, and translating research deliverables as needed.
  • Interact with clients and research respondents via interviews, onsite visits, phone calls, meetings and other customer facing programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This is a full time position at our offices in Victor, NY. We are flexible on some remote work if needed. Heck, we were all remote for the past couple of years.

Job qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, psychology, statistics or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Software aptitude includes: Word, Excel and PPT. SPSS would be a plus but not required.
  • Ability to turn data and numbers into compelling stories using knowledge of statistical concepts and models.
  • Good writing skills. No one wants boring research.
  • Attention to detail and formatting. If you put two spaces after a period when you type, you will be cast out into the wilderness.
