I'm excited to be representing a leading General Contractor who has been a key player in the South Florida market for over 30 years. They are currently thriving with a 10 + year period of continued growth through hard work, and more importantly, quality of craftsmanship and relationships.


As a company, they built their foundation in the commercial space with experience in a range of projects from industrial to interiors. As part of this success they have achieved over the last 10 years, they are set to diversify their portfolio for the 1st time into the multifamily space later this year.


THE ROLE

To continue driving forward, they are looking to hire a Pre-Construction Manager with business development attributes. The successful candidate will be a key stakeholder within the senior leadership team and will immediately support the president by picking up his clients. Alongside winning projects with existing clients, a large proportion of this role will be to go out and win your own business


Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with potential clients, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with the business development team to create winning proposals and secure new projects.

Estimation and Cost Analysis:

  • Lead pre-construction efforts by analyzing project requirements, conducting site visits, and estimating costs.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, considering materials, labor, and other factors.

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop pre-construction strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to ensure seamless project transitions.

Risk Assessment:

  • Evaluate project risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Anticipate challenges related to design, scheduling, and budgeting.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage a team of estimators, coordinators, and administrative staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Client Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Understand client needs and tailor pre-construction services accordingly.

Technology Integration:

  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Leverage software tools for accurate estimates, 3D modeling, and data analysis.


WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

The successful candidate will be ambitious and motivated to take the business to the next level.

  • Proven experience in pre-construction management (5 + years), estimating, and business development.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD).
