Your new company My client is a Houston-based commercial general contractor who has been in business since 2009, originally starting as the in-house construction arm of a family-owned real estate company. Over the years, it has grown to be a regional leader, specializing in corporate interior remodels, industrial facilities, retail build-outs, and healthcare and educational spaces. The company operates primarily in Texas and Louisiana, and is known for its commitment to quality, safety, and collaboration. Your new role Due to an uptick in demand, they are looking for a Senior Estimator to join their growing Preconstruction & Estimating team. The duties will include:Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including interiors, retail, healthcare, and industrial builds.Analyze architectural plans, engineering specifications, and scope documents to determine labor, materials, and time requirements.Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure comprehensive and realistic estimates.Identify and assess cost-related risks and opportunities, offering value-engineering suggestions where applicable.Maintain and update internal cost databases and utilize estimating software to streamline workflows and improve accuracy.Support the bidding process by preparing bid packages, attending pre-bid meetings, and responding to RFIs.Monitor ongoing project costs and provide regular financial updates and variance reports to senior management.What you'll need to succeed Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial project estimating - ideally with experience in K-12 Education or Mixed Commercial renovation projects.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.What you'll get in return Competitive salary range between $110,000 - $130,000 dependent on experience level.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.Supportive and collaborative company culture.Exciting plans for expansion and development.What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.
