Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility based in Clifton NJ 07012. This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization

Location: Clifton NJ 07012

Job Type: 06 Months - W2 contract - with possible extension

Schedule –Monday- Friday (08:00 am – 01:00 pm) and Saturdays (07:30 am – 12:00 pm)

Pay Range: $18-$20 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)

Responsibilities:

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.
• Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Stores specimen samples according to the required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels, follows different procedures as outlined by specific to protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain the integrity of the specimen.

Qualifications /Work Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience, with over a year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
