Asbestos Defense Litigation Paralegal (Center City, Philadelphia)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct high-volume defense litigation work, specializing in asbestos defense cases.
  • Manage the organization of case files, including drafting various legal documents and pleadings.
  • Assist in the preparation of status reports, deposition transcripts, and expense reports.
  • Coordinate case calendars and deadlines for hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Review and analyze plaintiff's discovery materials and electronic dockets.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys to ensure accurate and timely case management.
  • Provide support to attorney through all phases
  • Possess organizational skills and prioritization methods to successfully take on heavy workload
  • Review a multitude of legal work, including the research and analysis of in-depth legal documents
  • Database management of all relevant documents


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of paralegal experience, with significant involvement in asbestos defense cases.
  • Proficiency in legal document preparation and document management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field is ideal; paralegal certification is a plus.
