Role: SAP Data Services (BODS) Consultant
Location: Montvale, NJ
Position Type: Contractor (potential Contract-to-Hire)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) - Locals to NJ/NY
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide production support for SAP BODS, including early morning and weekend shifts as needed.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and data sources/targets.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and handle BODS job backup/recovery.
- Develop BODS workflows/dataflows and implement performance tuning techniques.
- Work on SAP HANA view modeling using calculation views, SQL scripting, and performance optimization.
- Handle data integration tasks, including SCD types 1, 2, 3 and delta loading.
- Deploy code across Dev, QA, and Production environments.
- Perform quality testing and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with SAP BODS (admin, workflows, mapping, dataflows, transformations).
- 5+ years of experience in data warehousing.
- Experience with SAP HANA modeling (calculation views, SQL scripting).
- Strong understanding of data modeling and star schemas.
- 4+ years of experience with SQL.
- Familiarity with data quality transformations and BODS best practices.
- Experience with REST/SOAP API and extracting semi-structured data (JSON) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently on project-oriented tasks.
