The world’s largest entertainment streaming service is looking for an experienced test professional in the Compatibility, Compliance and Cloud (CCQA) space, to join their Game Studio in delivering the next generation of video games to a worldwide audience. As a QA Analyst, you will have an impact on helping deliver functional and stable games to millions of customers across their platform. This role requires exceptional testing expertise across the diverse consumer device universe with a specific focus on iOS and Android. The ideal candidate will be working as an integrated member of a cross-functional team, participating in the design and execution of QA strategies and methods across the CCQA space.


Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • A subject matter expert on mobile compatibility with an emphasis on device configurations and performance metrics
  • Effectively communicate concerns about significant bugs, process issues, product quality, device limitations or scheduling risks
  • Testing game compatibility across the Android and iOS device universe along with other consumer devices
  • Triaging difficult problems and driving them to resolution
  • Working with cross-functional partners to identify requirements, develop test plans and improve our testing lab
  • Defining test coverage, creating and maintaining test cases, reporting test results, and evaluating product readiness to ship throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Deep involvement in developing/identifying appropriate tooling and frameworks to support all CCQA testing efforts


Requirements and Skills:

  • Passion for games with a commitment to quality
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and organization skills
  • Minimum 4 years of industry experience in QA
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on compatibility testing (preferably in the gaming industry)
  • Foundational knowledge of mobile device processors, memory, graphics and networks
  • Exceptional iOS and Android testing experience
  • Expert knowledge of technical requirements, tools, and processes
  • Experience translating requirements into effective test cases
  • Experience with Xcode and ADB, using IPAs/APKs, and pulling device logs
  • Demonstrated experience in test planning for complex features/systems
  • Experience with GameBench, or other performance testing tools
  • Ability to work independently and thrive while focusing on the details, such as; spotting subtle problems, raising issues, and taking ownership of the solution.
  • Self-starter, able to take ownership of assigned tasks and features and meet responsibilities without constant supervision
  • Analytical and results-oriented; able to communicate ideas in the form of comprehensive reports, analysis, and presentations
  • Experience with TestRail or other test case management tools
  • Experience with JIRA or other bug tracking tools
