Insight Global is partnering with a leading provider of first responder telecommunication services in their search for RF Electronics Technician. This company provides a range of critical services from infrastructure, technical services, field replacement parts, and maintenance The technician will be partnering closing with these first responders (fire, EMS, police, etc.) to assist in the diagnosis and repair of radio systems and infrastructure.



RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES


Repair and provide technical support and documentation for Low Band, VHF/UHF, and 800/900 MHz analog and digital systems, mobile and portable subscriber equipment, simulcast, conventional, trunking, paging, telemetry, and microwave systems.

Installation, maintenance, and repair of base systems, repeaters, remote controls, multiplexers, antenna systems, microwave systems, and battery backup systems

Traveling to field sites and first responder headquarters to assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of radio equipment

Install and maintain dispatch console equipment.



EDUCATION, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  1. 3-5 years of similar work experience
  2. Working within the telecommunications space or wireless internet service provider
  3. Field service work experience – traveling to customer sites to perform maintenance or installations
  4. Valid Driver’s License and good driving record


Pluses

  1. Knowledge and understanding of two-way radio theory
  2. Amateur Radio License
  3. CB or HAM Radio Operation Experience


Pay Rate: 30-40/hr
