About Us:


Health Outlook Corporation is a startup healthcare company that is in the business of providing better predictions of longevity and health events than are currently available. We have proprietary algorithms that use statistical models of mortality risk that incorporate traditional factors and modern proteomic markers. Using a common platform, Health Outlook is launching businesses that leverage our algorithms in the financial services and health systems markets.


Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare IT Director to lead our technology initiatives, manage our IT systems, work side by side with our Groton, CT lab team, and support the company’s data access relationships with NIH and other data provider. The IT Director will be responsible for overseeing key aspects of our IT infrastructure, systems, and operations, ensuring that our technology supports the needs of our organization and contributes to our overall success.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work with IT leadership to develop and implement the overall IT strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee and perform hands on activities supporting the design, development, and maintenance of all IT systems, applications, infrastructure, and security systems, coordinating with the company’s Managed Service Provider (MSP) and other vendors where appropriate.
  • Administer and become the subject matter expert of the company’s Lab Information System, Lab Collector.
  • Interface regularly with the lab team to collaborate on areas where IT improvements will benefit lab efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies, solutions, and processes to improve efficiency, enhance productivity, and support business growth.
  • Establish, monitor and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts, negotiating agreements and service level agreements as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Monitor IT performance metrics and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovations and best practices to keep the company at the forefront of technological advancements.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Hands on experience with and knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and compliance requirements including experience implementing and managing systems complying with HIPAA and GDPR.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing IT strategies that align with business objectives in an IT healthcare environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, systems architecture, cybersecurity, data processing and cloud computing, Azure and M365 skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets, resources, and projects effectively.
