Lead Java/Angular Developer

Summit Human Capital is seeking a Lead Java/Angular Developer to guide multiple teams through the development of external customer applications. This role has the exciting opportunity to provide mentorship and training to junior developers while guiding projects to completion.


Required Skills:

  • Must have 8-10 years of experience in software engineering
  • Strong experience with Java/Springboot and Angular/TypeScript.
  • 2-4 years of experience leading development teams within an Agile environment
  • Experience with REST API’s, SQL Server, and MongoDB
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, or a relevant field


Desired Skills:

  • AWS knowledge
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Additional API experience (Kafka, JSON, Swagger, Kong)


Responsibilities:

  • Mentor, coach, and lead software engineering teams
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on development tools, frameworks, and methodologies in collaboration with other development teams
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide insight into the technical aspects of project planning and execution
  • Implement and enforce coding standards by conducting regular code reviews and providing feedback to development teams
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to define best practices for version control, continuous integration, deployment processes, and other software development tools
  • Provide leadership in the design of software applications, ensuring alignment with application, solution and enterprise architecture standards, business goals, and scalability requirements
  • Work with project teams to review and approve technical designs
