We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Software Engineer to join our cybersecurity team, which focuses on threat intelligence and defense engineering. This team operates the Security & Information Event Management (SIEM) platform, which includes network security monitoring, detection analytics with enrichment, and threat intelligence services. Our goal is to provide real-time threat visibility, early detection, and rapid response capabilities to safeguard our network, infrastructure, and services. The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, testing, and maintaining business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs, including mainframe and client/server applications, and major enhancements of existing systems, specifically contributing to the security monitoring tools.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of the service Threat Insider Defense Engineering provides and our customer’s needs.
  • Analyze data available to identify service improvements (and identify gaps in data that would be helpful going forward)
  • Develop reporting and dashboards to illustrate findings and influence priority decisions for changes to be adopted.
  • Identify solutions to address the improvements identified and drive solutions to closure.
  • Showcase customer obsession
  • Working in an agile framework with sprints, design discussions.
  • Testing the quality and functionality of the code and the tool
  • Communication of status reports, issues, risks, escalations, help needed


Qualifications:

  • 5+ overall years’ experience in the field.
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline preferred
  • The ideal resume would contain experience with network security monitoring and Azure data, and is interested in working in the cybersecurity or has previously done so.
  • Experience in threat defense engineering or response


Must Have Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with Development experience in client-side web application development and testing
  • (2+ years) with experience/exposure to ASP. Net, .NET Framework, web services, web development skills
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working within the network security domain; intrusion detection, web security gateway, firewalls, endpoint protection. Strong Azure network concepts such as virtual networks, peering, gateways.
  • Strong KQL skills, Synapse is a plus. Analytical and able to test hypotheses with data.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with building and testing large scale distributed systems / services / Azure data.
