The Daniel Island News, located on Daniel Island in Charleston, SC, is seeking a full-time editor with graphic design skills to manage content for our print, website, e-newsletters and social media platforms as well as assist in creating visually appealing layout for the print edition of the paper.

Additional Skills and Experience We Value

●    Understanding and knowledge of local government and how to cover government stories.

●    Strong skills in writing, editing and AP style.

●    Knowledge of the South Carolina communities of Daniel Island and Cainhoy peninsula.

●    Ability and experience with InDesign and Photoshop, including ability to layout pages and proof with the printer.

Education or Experience

●    Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered.

●    Minimum of 3 years working in community news.
