About the Role: Etainement is seeking an experienced Principal Software Engineer to lead our engineering team and technical strategy. This individual will oversee the development and operations of our ticketing platform and internal tools. The ideal candidate has deep expertise across software engineering, data engineering, and the Google Cloud ecosystem. This individual contributor role is perfect for someone who loves to code and will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our data infrastructure, with a strong focus on SQL and data pipeline development.


Responsibilities:

Design and implement high-performance, scalable SQL queries leveraging advanced techniques such as window functions, CTEs, and query optimization strategies for complex data extraction, transformation, and analysis

Drive the technical vision and strategy for Etainement's products and systems

Manage and mentor the software engineering team

Oversee the architecture, development, testing and deployment of our web applications and data pipelines

Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of our cloud infrastructure

Work closely with key stakeholders to align technology initiatives with company goals

Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and innovations


Requirements:

5+ years of experience in software engineering leadership roles

Strong programming skills and experience building end-to-end web applications

Expert-level knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Run

Proven track record in data warehousing and ETL pipeline development

Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams of developers

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical field


Preferred Qualifications

Professional Google Cloud Certifications (e.g. Professional Cloud Architect)

Prior experience in the music or sports industries

Familiarity with dynamic pricing and yield management concepts
