Payroll Specialist

We are actively looking for a payroll specialist to support an amazing organization.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and timely for employees, including salary, wages, bonuses, commissions, and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including withholding, reporting, and payment requirements.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and finance teams as needed.
• Maintain employee payroll records, including updating changes in salary, benefits, tax status, and deductions.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee data and resolve any payroll-related inquiries.
• Assist in the preparation of payroll-related financial statements and reports.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Work closely with accounting teams to ensure accurate recording of payroll transactions in the general ledger.
• Support internal and external audits related to payroll and accounting processes.

• BS in Accounting/Finance is desired
• 5 years of payroll processing experience
• 3-5 years of accounting experience desired but not required
• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Strong work ethic and team player
