Responsibilities:
The Borescope Inspector will be responsible for performing detailed visual inspections of aircraft engines and components visually and by use of a borescope to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Gas Turbine Inspections, LLC supports engines across Pratt & Whitney, General Electric and Rolls Royce engine models. Customers range from airlines, cargo carriers, lessors, MRO shops, GE, CFM, Pratt & Whitney and International Aero Engines customers.
As Borescope Inspector, responsibilities will include but now be limited to the following:
· Perform borescope inspections on various types of aircraft engines and their components to detect defects, damage, or wear.
· Document inspection findings, including photos and detailed reports, and communicate results to the maintenance team and management.
· Interpret manufacturer manuals, engineering specifications, and service bulletins to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
· Collaborate with engineers and technicians to assess engine health and recommend appropriate actions based on inspection findings.
· Maintain accurate records of all inspections performed and ensure compliance with FAA and other relevant regulations.
· Conduct routine and non-routine inspections in accordance with scheduled maintenance and unscheduled inspections.
· Ensure all tools and equipment are properly calibrated and maintained in accordance with company procedures.
· Stay updated with the latest industry standards, technologies, and regulations pertaining to engine inspections and maintenance.
· Willing to travel domestically and internationally
Qualifications:
As Borescope inspector, Qualifications will include but now be limited to the following:
· Proven experience (3+ years preferred) performing borescope inspections on aircraft engines.
· Strong understanding of aviation safety regulations and FAA compliance.
· Familiarity with inspection equipment, engine manuals, and inspection techniques.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating detailed reports.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated extensive aerospace technical expertise, ability to work independently, strong communication, influence and teamwork.
Education:
· High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in aviation or related field is a plus).
· FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
· OEM borescope certification for specific engine models (e.g., GE, Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney).
· Experience with various large commercial engine inspections.
· Proficiency in using computer systems for logging inspection data.
