Join the team as an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician at a leading Dairy Biogas plant in Minnesota You will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing critical control systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the calibration, repair, and troubleshooting of control systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician to contribute to the success of a renewable energy facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and apply Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Control Wiring Diagrams (CWDs) to accurately troubleshoot, maintain, and repair instrumentation and control systems
- Perform installation, calibration, diagnostics, and maintenance on protective relays, metering, control systems, and instrumentation to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with plant safety standards
- Mentor apprentice I&C Technicians
- Collaborate with other departments to support plant performance and minimize downtime
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, ensuring accurate records of all maintenance activities
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial environment with a focus on control systems repair and calibration
- If lacking 3 years of experience, one of the following is required: Minimum of 2 years of military experience in electronics repair and calibration OR Associate Degree or Technical Certifications in Instrumentation & Controls or related field
- Strong ability to interpret P&IDs and CWDs for troubleshooting and system maintenance
- Experience in biogas, power generation, or similar industrial setting is highly preferred
