Project Description:

Our Client is seeking a dynamic Solutions Architect for a long-term project. This leadership role demands an onsite presence in Cincinnati, Ohio, and entails overseeing the full lifecycle of a Warehouse Execution System powered by Azure SaaS and other on-premises technologies.


Responsibilities:

· Lead the complete lifecycle management of intricate software systems, covering App Services, REST APIs, Cloud Native Patterns, Event Streaming, Message Queues (KAFKA, Azure Service Bus, Red Hat AMQ etc) and Authentication/Security protocols.

· Spearhead the development landscape on the JAVA platform, emphasizing the creation of microservices, API-based functionalities, and UIs for mobile and portal applications.

· Manage a diverse team of 80-100 full-time employees, overseeing the complete SDLC, including sprint, quality assurance, and performance teams, reporting directly to the Product Manager.

· Spearhead the conceptualization, prototyping, development, testing, and maintenance of complex software systems.

· Formulate the design of the next-generation platform, utilizing a Microservices Architecture integrated with Containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes orchestration.

· Coordinate the analysis, design, and development of key API components, actively engaging in implementation, testing, review, build automation, and documentation.

· Provide expertise in data modeling, Data ingestion & distribution patterns, and Data Optimization across Relational and Non-Relational Databases.

· Provide hands-on technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to developers and engineers, fostering their professional growth and expertise.

· Actively participate in software development projects, adhering to Agile methodology and iterative sprints to ensure project agility and success.

· Collaborate closely with operational managers, HR, recruitment, and finance teams to ensure adequate resource allocation and budget management.

· Introduce and implement industry leading SDLC practices, fostering a culture of excellence within the team. This includes managing fully managed release cycles within an Azure cloud environment.

· As the lead consultant, encourage high-performance teams and cultivate a culture of positive engagement, growth, and professional development.

· Develop multi-year strategic plans and oversee team operations across multiple locations.

· 25% - 50% travel to the Client location.


Qualifications:

· 15+ years of experience in software development, with a proven track record of managing large teams effectively.

· 5+ years of hands-on experience in defining, designing, and implementing Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions, demonstrating expertise in cloud technologies.

· 5+ years of experience in Data modeling, Data ingestion & distribution patterns, and ETL Technologies, focusing on Relational and Non-Relational Databases.

· Exhibit proficiency in enterprise architecture, business architecture, information architecture, application architecture, and integration architecture.

· Proficient in Spring Boot, Microservices, API Management & Gateway, Event Streaming, Cloud Native Patterns, Observability, and Performance optimization. Skilled in both Java and .Net environments.

· Proficiency in SDLC, including agile methodologies, automated QA and testing, and performance engineering.

· Strong understanding of Azure Cloud services, Salesforce, JIRA, and Confluence; experience with warehouse management systems is a PLUS.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Familiarity with consulting services and project management methodologies.

· Demonstrated success in customer-facing roles, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
