Reinsurance Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Develop understanding of existing data architecture and future roadmap
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and define scope.
• Calculate ceded premiums, reserves, and commissions based on reinsurance agreements.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordination of the daily and monthly output from the various policy administrative system to the reinsurance system for monthly activities
• Lead the active management of Inforce reinsurance treaties (both assumed and ceded) to enable better and more efficient management information.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, Computer Engineering, Math, Statistics, Economics or related analytics field from top-tier universities with strong record of achievement
• 3+ years of experience with analytical skills and an entrepreneurial, hands-on approach
• Analyze, evaluate, and process reinsurance claims involving significant exposure and complex issues.
• Review FAC and treaty reinsurance contracts to understand terms, conditions, and obligations.
• Experience of creating Data Architecture, Entity Relationship Diagram, Data Mapping, STTM etc.
• Comfortable with writing complex SQL queries for data retrieval & transformation
• Experience in the insurance domain is a must, specifically the reinsurance business.
• Reinsurance domain experience in applying facultative and treaty contracts as ceding company from placement side and as a reinsurer (finance/contract side) who will fulfil obligations concerning the risks it has agreed to cover, including premium collection, claims processing, and adherence to the terms defined in the contract.
• Prior knowledge of SRM Master or Pro or SAP FSRI is must.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong experience of programming in SQL
• Knowledge of Cloud Platform (AWS / Snowflake)
• Prior experience in management consulting and/or analytics-based consulting
• Reinsurance domain experience is a must.
