Mercuria Energy America is looking for a KYC Analyst to primarily assist in documentation reviews for new customer accounts, to evaluate high-risk accounts, and analyse new customer processes and policies. The KYC Analyst will also be involved in anti-money laundering (AML) processes and procedures. This role facilitates a global KYC and compliance function across Mercuria’s affiliates.


The role holder will be required to participate actively in:


  • Monitoring, compiling, analysis, and otherwise support KYC and Vessel Vetting processing, clearance, and document review.
  • Facilitate all phases of on-boarding and re-certifications related to KYC of new and existing counterparties.
  • Actively participate in the management of Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, and Code of Conduct/Ethics policies and practice as it relates to KYC, through administration of policy and distribution of related material.
  • Facilitate recurring trainings and dynamic updating of training programs related to KYC and Compliance.
  • Act as an internal point of contact and control for stakeholders, assisting with KYC and compliance related queries.
  • Provide support to the broader KYC and compliance teams related to the development of and implementation of new systems.
  • This is an in office position in our 20 Greenway Plaza, Houston TX, office suite.


Technical Expertise:


  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge in Fraud prevention / KYC / AML procedures is preferable.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in economics, business, or other area of advanced study.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Prior experience or exposure to commodities trading preferred.
  • Proven aptitude for adaptivity to new technology.

  • Proficiency MS Office suite, especially word, outlook, and excel.
