Position Title: OPS LAN Engineer

Must Have

Technical/Functional Skills:

1. Level 3 or Level 4 Network WAN & Security Engineer.

2. Expert level understanding and implementation of commonly deployed WAN technologies and concepts – MPLS, Viptela SDWAN, P2P, VRF, Wave, SONET, DWDM, WAN Optimization - is a requirement.

3. Expert knowledge of Layer 3 technologies, including - IPv4, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, PIM, HSRP, DMVPN, NHRP, and GETVPN – is required.

4. Play a Subject Matter Expert (SME) role on network security technologies like Palo Alto, Zscaler (ZIA & ZPA).

5. Deep and strong understanding of Palo Alto firewalls, Internet proxy, DNS, SSL & IPSec VPN, multi-factor authentication and IPS technologies.

6. Strong hands-on experience in Zscaler Internet Access & Private Access.

7. Good understanding on F5 Load balancers with GTM & LTM.

8. Expert knowledge of Traffic prioritization technologies and techniques including – QoS, TOS, COS, LLQ, CBWFQ, WFQ, Shaping, Policing, MPLS-VPN QoS – is required.

9. Design, implement and manage the network and security systems within a secure multi-tenant cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) environment.

10. Good hands-on experience on Cisco VManage, Netscout, Infoblox, Vital Net, App Neta etc.

11. Proven expertise working with Global Telecommunications carriers.

12. Validated experience in managing, provisioning, and designing network technologies in a large globally diverse environment.

13. Expert-level hands-on configuration of networking equipment, management tools and network analyzers.

14. Ability to write detailed methods of procedure and maintain documentation including the creation of Visio drawings.

15. Network Automation experience with Python and/or Ansible strongly preferred.

16. Provide network design and implementation strategies, migration plans, and technical project support for medium to high complexity projects.

17. Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.

18. Prepares Business Cases, financial analysis spreadsheets, deployment plans, and detailed bills of materials in preparation for presentation to Leadership for new deployments.

19. Perform hands on configurations for new deployments.

20. Prepares Build documents and Operational Support procedures and performs knowledge transfer to Build Factory and Run team to ensure a smooth onboarding of new deployments.

21. Familiar with Agile & Scrum methodology.

Experience Required 1. CCIE Certification, Zscaler Certificates & Firewall certifications. 2. AWS Solution Architect Certified. 3. ITIL Foundation & Intermediate. 4. Network WAN & Security engineering experience.

Roles & Responsibilities 1. Provide leadership, strategic direction, engineering and escalation support for Enterprise WAN, Security, Data Center, and Campus Network platforms across North America locations. 2. Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, WAN switches, WAN accelerators, AWS, Firewalls, Zscaler, DNS etc.,

3. Developing a deep understanding and expertise of AWS technologies. 4. Gaining technological knowledge of the construction of applications and services using the AWS platform. 5. Works in support of Build Factory new demand for Infrastructure projects including configuring, troubleshooting, optimization and requirements gathering for Build and Run teams. 6. Provides direct support, including after hours, for new deployments which have not yet been transitioned into Build Factory and Run teams. 7. Provides technical guidance for broader solution delivery initiatives. 8. Provides support, including after hours, for Tier 4 escalated operational issues. 9. Provides engineering expertise in identification of process improvement and automation opportunities. 10. Maintain deep technical knowledge of different Network and Cloud technologies and supporting solution areas and develop new technology integrations and solution capabilities. 11. Convey technical information/solutions to audience using whiteboards, presentations, or written communications in a workshop format. 12. Responsibilities include executive and technical-level communications and relationship building to gain credibility/trust of internal and external customers. 13. Consults assess or audit, design, and interview stakeholders to resolve highly technical requirements. 14. Research, evaluate and stay ahead of curve on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies. 15. Demonstrate strong ‘Consultative based mindset’ with strong listening and collaboration skill for uncovering unmet technology-based needs and translating the requirements into strategic solutions. 16. High motivation level and appetite for fast-paced team environment; readily adaptable to changing market and organization requirements. 17. Problem solving mentality using internal and/or external resources. 18. Understanding on ITIL Process & Agile methodology.
