Location: Belle Chasse, LA 70037

Pay: $28-31/hr on W2

Job Type: 6+ Months Contract Role (Possibility of extension)

Shift Time: 07AM-05PM (maybe more if plant is down)

Job Description:

Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in motor control systems maintenance and troubleshooting, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environments.

Hands-on experience with motor control circuits, motor starters, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and related electrical components.

Skilled in performing hands-on tasks such as wiring, terminations, and component replacement in motor control panels and enclosures.

Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication skills to coordinate with other technicians, engineers, and supervisors.

Flexibility to work varying shifts, overtime, and respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and equipment advancements in the field of motor control.

Ability to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and parts inventory.

Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for documentation and tracking.

Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development to stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in motor control systems.

Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures and arc flash safety.

Ability to identify and mitigate electrical hazards to ensure a safe working environment.

Problem-Solving Abilities:

Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in motor control systems efficiently.

Experience conducting root cause analyses to identify the underlying causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

Education and Technical Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Technical education or certification in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field preferred.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.

Experience with installing, configuring, and programming VFDs and motor control systems.

Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and troubleshooting is a plus.

Ability to use electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.
