Senior Project Architect

Our client is a multi-discipline Architecture firm with 6+ locations in SE US. They are currently seeking ambitious designers passionate about architecture for faith/worship-based institutions. The ideal candidate will be personally invested in the vision of faith projects, collaborating closely with the studio principal and client to realize each congregation’s goals. This role is integral to the growth and leadership of the Faith Studio.


Responsibilities/Skills:

  • Drive business development and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to expand and enhance the faith studio’s client base.
  • Provide expert architectural consultation in areas such as planning, design, consultant coordination, construction documentation, and project administration.
  • Oversee technical design elements for assigned projects, including investigation, evaluation, and the creation of design solutions that align with the client’s needs.
  • Independently handle various tasks in conventional architectural design for projects of moderate size and complexity.
  • Serve as the main client liaison, coordinating administrative and technical project efforts to ensure timely and satisfactory completion of project scope.
  • Manage complex assignments, often developing or refining techniques and procedures for better outcomes.
  • May offer technical guidance to junior architects and staff based on experience.
  • Lead the technical perspective on projects, collaborating with the Project Principal to develop solutions and product strategies.
  • Follow established processes to ensure effective project execution and completion.
  • Independently assess and complete work, applying technical direction from the Project Principal; identify and resolve technical questions to maintain workflow.
  • Conduct on-site documentation and analysis of existing conditions.
  • Execute design and presentation drawings under the Project Principal’s supervision.
  • Confidently present technical and design solutions directly to clients.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Qualifications:

  • Proficient in all standard architectural practices, with at least 8 years of professional experience preferred.
  • Experience with faith-based projects on a national or regional level is advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited institution.
  • Licensed Architect or actively pursuing licensure.
  • Advanced skills in Revit design and production; familiarity with BIM 360 is beneficial. Experience with Enscape rendering is a plus.
  • Skilled in technical project production, from initial planning and concept design through construction administration.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Collaborative team player with a high level of productivity.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and proactive in taking initiative.
