Optomi, in partnership with one of the nation's largest provider of telecommunications services, is seeking a talented Kubernetes Administrator to join a self-motivated and dynamic team.


** Must be onsite 2 days/week in Bellevue, WA**

Contract: W2/C2C


Must Have Requirements:

  • 2-3 YEARS AS A KUBERNETES ADMIN
  • 8+ years total experience in IT
  • Kubernetes Administrator with strong knowledge in building and managing Vanilla Kubernetes or Kubeadm based clusters
  • Extensive hands-on experience in managing Kubernetes control plane is mandatory
  • Excellent hands-on experience in upgrading Kubernetes components like Istio, nginx ingress, cni components, outcold, etc
  • Experience with PVC in Kubernetes
  • Experience with GitOps model
  • Multi-cluster environments with various type of applications
  • Troubleshooting issues related to Kubernetes clusters including the issues related to control planes, ingress, worker nodes, deployments, PVCs etc
  • Very strong communication and leadership skills - outside client
  • Experience working with clients, offshore teams to give a proper update/issue updates


Nice if you have:

  • Experience with Portworx (preferable)
  • CKA certification (preferable)
  • Knowledge in on-prem systems and virtualization like VMware (preferred)
  • Scripting knowledge in Python and strong hold in Linux (preferred)
