Principal/Sr Principal Systems Test Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal/Senior Principal Systems Test Engineer to join their dynamic team in Palmdale, CA. As a Systems Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of cutting-edge aerospace systems. You will be responsible for the development, integration, and execution of test plans and procedures, as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues to ensure the successful deployment of their advanced systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and test cases for system verification and validation.
- Conduct system-level testing, including hardware and software integration, functional, and performance testing.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve problems.
- Ensure test environments are properly configured and maintained to support testing activities.
- Prepare and present detailed test reports and documentation to stakeholders.
- Participate in design reviews, providing testability input and ensuring test requirements are met.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and methodologies.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either a Principal or a Sr. Principal level.
Basic Qualifications for Principal:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math (STEM)
- A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience with a BS Degree in STEM Field, 3 years engineering experience with a MS degree in STEM Field, or 0 years with a PhD in STEM Field
Basic Qualifications for Sr Principal:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math (STEM)
- A minimum of 9 years of engineering experience with a BS Degree in STEM Field, 7 years engineering experience with a MS degree in STEM Field, or 4 years with a PhD in STEM Field
Basic Qualifications for both Principal and Sr Principal:
- Experience in a system test environment
- Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience that includes test planning, execution, and operations
- Active Special Program Access (SAP)
