· Develop and execute the supplier qualification plan in collaboration with the quality, manufacturing technology, supply chain, and contract manufacturing teams to deliver project objectives.


· Oversee the supplier qualification processes and ensure that they are completed within stipulated timelines while meeting all the criteria in each stage of the process.


· Provide facilitation and support to manufacturing and supply chain teams to resolve issues during the qualification processes. Leverage expertise and industry knowledge to help them resolve issues at scale.


· Document and improve qualification processes and procedures that align with industry best practices to meet the required standards and regulatory requirements.


· Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication of supplier quality requirements, specifications, and expectations and align these with project objectives.


· Develop training guidelines to onboard new suppliers effectively and communicate and train them to flow down industry and customer requirements. This includes enabling them to develop the required certifications and approvals.


· Support the Quality Engineer’s efforts to manage the APQP and PPAP development at selected suppliers during the qualification period, which ensures the effective flow down of requirements from the customer to the supplier.


· Monitor and measure process compliance and qualification performance to identify areas for improvement and risk management.


· Enable and support the First Article Inspection (FAI) process with suppliers and customers to ensure high levels of quality and compliance.


Term: One (1) year


Requirements:


· Associate degree in mechanical or aerospace Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field, preferred but not required.


· Minimum of 3 years of experience working in supplier quality development, particularly focused on new supplier qualification, in the aerospace industry.


· Manufacturing/Operations experience is a plus.


· Familiarity with quality systems such as AS9100, ISO 9001, AS13100 or equivalent


· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.


· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


· Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.


· Strong leadership skills needed.
