This role blends hands-on network operations, systems administration, and incident response. The ideal professional brings strong technical depth, clear communication skills, and a proactive, collaborative approach.What You’ll Be DoingMaintain, patch, and upgrade core infrastructure components including servers, virtualization platforms, and network hardwareOversee daily operations of enterprise network and systems environments to ensure uptime, security, and performanceActively monitor system health and respond to alerts and outages, including participation in an on-call rotationLead troubleshooting efforts for complex network and infrastructure issues in collaboration with internal technical teamsConfigure and support firewall rules, traffic distribution, and segmented network architecturesDevelop scripts and automation to reduce manual work and improve operational reliabilityPerform root cause analysis following incidents and implement long-term preventative solutionsCreate and maintain technical documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting standardsRequired Experience & Technical Background5+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise-level network and infrastructure environmentsStrong command of switching, routing, VLANs, VPNs, dynamic routing protocols, and security best practicesPractical experience with Cisco network equipment, Palo Alto firewalls, and wireless networking solutionsAbility to support VoIP and video collaboration issues at the network levelExperience working with internet service providers, circuit troubleshooting, and service escalationsWorking knowledge of Windows and Linux server platforms and VMware virtualizationExposure to public cloud environments such as Azure or AWS is preferredScripting and automation experience using tools such as PowerShell, Python, or AnsibleProven analytical troubleshooting skills and a structured approach to problem resolutionStrong written and verbal communication skills with solid documentation habitsRelevant certifications (CCNP, CCDP, PCNSA/PCNSE, VCP, or similar) are a plus
