(2nd shift) Manual Machinist with 5 years of experience and has their own tools.


About the Role:

Utilize Manual Lathe and Mill to complete simple operations such as drilling, milling, tapping, surfacing, turning, etc. Utilize various equipment such as horizontal band saw, chop saw, table saw to cut various materials as needed. Machine/fabricate from a print or description. Observe equipment and machinery to verify efficient and safe operation. Set-up and operation of drill press and machine tools; designs tools, jigs, fixtures and templates. Operates power press to test completed dies and applies pigment to dies to indicate high spots which require reworking. Maintain safe work practices and good housekeeping. Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.


Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Machinist certification preferred. Welding certification a plus.


Required Skills:

Demonstrates characteristics such as self-motivation, integrity, creativity, respectfulness, kindness, trustworthiness, team lay, good listener. Must be able to read and comprehend instructions in English as well as possess good oral communication skills. Must be able to read blueprints for both machining and fabricating. Must be able to read and use Micrometers, calipers, measuring tapes, and other various measuring tools. Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job.
