Veterinary Technician

A company in the Immokalee area is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join their team.

Responsibilities Include:

-Animal Care: Identify illness or injury in animals, handle them safely, and complete thorough assessments and examinations.

-Treatment Administration: Present examination findings to the veterinarian and follow prescribed instructions to administer medications (injections, oral, IV).

-Monitor animals post-treatment.

-Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all primates in both hard copy and electronic formats

-Daily Assessments: Conduct daily reviews and assessments of animal cases, presenting findings to the veterinarians

-Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring no expired items are in stock.

-Procedures: Assist with or perform x-rays, ultrasounds, and minor surgeries as needed.

-Sanitation Oversight: Oversee the sanitation of the clinic, ensuring cleanliness, and participating in inspections and audits.
