Job Description:

The Integration and Test Specialist is responsible for validating new software as well as the development, testing, and validation procedures, maintaining the lab and test servers, and designing and executing test suites to ensure a high level of quality of the software that is part of Trilliant wireless solutions. This position will ensure that the test servers and counters in the test lab are running smoothly. He or she will work closely with the embedded and web software design, systems engineering, and operations teams to contribute to the continuous improvement of our product line. He will write scripts to automate tests, write documentation related to testing and problem solving, and write test and compliance reports. He or she will also be able to work on mandates related to regulatory compliance and draft procedures. This position will report to the Manager of Firmware Engineering.


Job Responsibilities :

  • Work with all Trilliant firmware teams and coordinate with external development teams to complete products on time.
  • Provide appropriate product documentation, including compliance documents and functional design specifications.
  • Plan, install, and maintain equipment and devices in the firmware test lab
  • Participate in the design, integration, implementation, and firmware validation of wireless manufacturing test equipment.
  • Design, develop, and implement a testing strategy for WAN products and embedded solutions (hardware/peripherals, firmware, and software).
  • Develop diagnostic testing capabilities in an integrated environment.
  • Make the necessary changes to improve the reliability and maintainability of the Product.



Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work on-site full-time
  • 5 years of experience in the telecommunications field.
  • 5 years of experience in quality assurance, testing, verification and validation.
  • Knowledge of RF technologies (Wifi, Zigbee, GSM, HSPA...) and networks.
  • Experience with network protocols;
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly technical report writing.
  • Ability to identify problems, diagnose them and propose or implement necessary solutions.
  • Familiarity with common test equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Attention to detail and dexterity.
  • Experience with RTOS (Embedded Linux, VxWorks) is a plus
  • Knowledge of product certification (CE, CSA/UL...) is an asset
  • Knowledge of Python is a plus


Educations/Certificates :

Bachelor's degree in electronics, electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent training.
