We are seeking a skilled Superintendent with significant experience in construction projects within the K12 education or medical sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a deep understanding of construction processes, regulations, and best practices in educational or medical facility construction.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure work is being performed according to plans and specifications.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, promptly addressing any delays or deviations from the project plan.
  • Communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, address concerns, and answer questions.
  • Manage project budgets and expenses, tracking costs and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure that all necessary permits, licenses, and approvals are obtained before construction begins and maintained throughout the project.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, contracts, change orders, and other relevant records.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on K12 education or medical facility projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software and other relevant tools.
  • Experience working with diverse teams and stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications in construction management or related fields.
  • Experience with LEED or other sustainable building practices.
  • Familiarity with K12 education or medical facility design and construction standards.
  • Previous experience working for a general contractor or construction management firm.
