Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Schedule: Sunday - Friday, from 11pm - 7:30am (must have a flexible work schedule)

  • On July 7th, Ontex is transitioning into running 24-7.
  • The new schedule on July 7th, will be 7pm - 7am, 2-2-3

Location: Stokesdale, NC

Department: Warehouse

Reports To: Warehouse Manager


Job Purpose

Receiving supervisors oversee and direct the activities of teams that receive and handle items and deliveries. This role balances direct receiving activities and stock handling with team leadership duties such as training and guiding employees, developing policies and procedures to enhance receiving department activities, and maintaining inventory control and management records.


Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • The receiving supervisor supports and coordinates operations within their department and makes key decisions regarding the unloading, intake, storage, and distribution of items.
  • Maintaining receiving and warehouse department budgets, managing the department’s workflow, and promoting safety and efficiency.
  • Leadership and supervision of receiving employees on 3rd Shift, including scheduling and timecard approval.
  • Ensure receiving employees perform job responsibilities correctly and safely, with a focus on scanning accuracy.
  • Ensure all receiving documents are created and maintained accurately. This includes BOLs, hold tags and associated documents.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts in the Raw Material/Receiving Warehouse. Correct and follow-up on any inventory discrepancies in these areas.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy above 98% for Raw Materials.
  • Ownership of Raw Materials inventory, ensuring that product is shipped properly and Hold product is handled according to guidelines and disposition.
  • Develop improvement plans to increase efficiency in the receiving operation.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness in the Receiving and Dock areas.
  • Perform receiving functions as needed, including driving a forklift.
  • Ensure and promote compliance to company safety guidelines as well as policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Leadership and supervision of shipping employees on 3rd shift.
  • Ensure shipping employees perform job responsibilities correctly and safely, with a focus on scanning accuracy.
  • Ensure all shipping documents are created and maintained accurately. This includes BOLs, hold tags and associated documents.
  • Perform shipping functions as needed, including driving a forklift.

Required Prior Work Experience

  • 5-8 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferred.
  • In Supply Chain, Business, Management, or Logistics; or equivalent experience with high school diploma/equivalency.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership/supervisory role in manufacturing preferred.


Required Prior Software Knowledge

  • SAP EWMS experience highly desired
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook


Required Physical Abilities of the Job

  • Able to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
  • To stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials.
