As an Engineering Production and Procurement Specialist, you will manage production and procurement processes for the Vision Machine Technology (VMT) Division, including project setup and design, assembly, production and inventory.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Manages the set up of projects, including building BOM’s, cable and sensor selection and interconnect design.
  • Assists with electrical design schematic design and custom cable design.
  • Assists with bracket design and camera mounting designs.
  • Creates new part numbers using corporate systems such as M3, etc.
  • Manages assembly and production, including wiring cabinets, mechanical assembly, PC building and testing, sensor testing and electronics burn-in and testing.
  • Manages the procurement process, including purchasing and monitoring stock levels.
  • Responsible for all warehouse activity, including monitoring inventory levels, auditing inventory counts and all inventory movements.
  • Works closely with VMT engineers to discuss needs and issues that may arise.
  • Maintains detailed records and prepares communications and reports as needed.
  • Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff, vendors, customers, and the general public.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.

The background you’ll need:

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of related engineering experience. Working knowledge of PLC’s, PLC programming and industrial networks a plus. Basic understanding of robot programming and interfacing.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
  • Hands on mentality
