Site Reliability Engineer III Job Type: Contract to hire Location: Arlington, TX Worksite Requirement: 2-days onsite Salary Conversion Target: $150,000-$160,000 Hourly Pay Rate: $60.00 - $65.00 / hour, W2Overview Vaco by Highspring is looking for a senior Site Reliability Engineer who can partner with development and architecture teams to improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of enterprise platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role-not support-focused on automation, cloud reliability, and building systems the right way. This role will require working onsite in Arlington, TX 2-days per week. Candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen and must be legally eligible to work in the United States, as our client is unable to sponsor at this time.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild reliability, automation, and tooling across distributed systemsCollaborate directly with architects and software engineers to incorporate reliability principles into new features and platform enhancementsDefine and implement SLOs/SLIs and guide reliability best practicesParticipate in design conversations for microservice-based and distributed systems; advise on patterns that improve fault tolerance and performanceWrite production-quality code (Java, Python, or similar) for automation and platform improvementsApply Infrastructure-as-Code practices (Terraform) to build, validate, and manage cloud environments (Azure)Troubleshoot complex systems and improve resiliency, scaling, and performanceQualifications5-7+ years in SRE, DevOps, or software engineeringStrong coding background (C#, Java, Python, etc.)Deep Azure experience + Kubernetes (AKS)Experience with CI/CD, IaC, distributed systems, and cloud monitoringStrong communication and problem-solving skills Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
