Title: Quality Inspector

Job Type: Contract

Shift: 1st Shift (7 AM - 3:30 PM) with 10-20% overtime

Location: Rancho Dominguez, CA 75063

Rate: $37/hr


Job Summary:

  • The Quality Inspector is a vital part of our manufacturing operations, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.
  • Actively participate in daily meetings, contributing valuable quality insights.
  • Champion our Quality program by meticulously recording non-conformances in our Quality Quest system.
  • Utilize Quality Quest data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate training on applicable policies, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Guide production teams in making accurate decisions regarding part disposition (good for use, needs repair, scrap).
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure adherence to industry standard practices.
  • Review repair routers for accuracy and completeness.
  • Create comprehensive Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety and quality.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining KPI reporting.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor, particularly when interacting with employees and visitors.
  • Manage our equipment calibration program.
  • Support facility operation and maintenance checks.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in machining, assembly/repair, quality control, or a related field within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical/Trade school or Associate degree is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment and leading without direct authority.
  • Understanding of material planning and shop floor scheduling.
  • Strong initiative, proactive attitude, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in rotating equipment repair or reliability is a plus.
